Communication:
Throughout my experience at Studio Center, I had to use verbal communication with team members, other interns, and even clients. A specific example is when the other intern (Caroline Bunting) and I would work together on research and creating social media content for Studio Center. My second-to-last day included Caroline and I working as a team to find a TikTok trend. We both openly communicated with each other specific ideas we could use, which turned into us creating a well-made piece of social media content. Below is the video that we collaborated on:
Technology:
The use of technology was essential for my success at Studio Center, and being able to use my computer was required for me to create graphics. While I didn’t get to use a camera, it was a significant piece of technology that was used throughout my time at Studio Center. An example of this was when we would go to meet a specific client (more specifically), a client we visited on multiple occasions, was Varia, a restaurant inside the Hilton Norfolk The Main. Where I would watch and learn from Rusty and Haleigh, who took pictures of the food, videos for their social media, and then I even got to be a “model” where action shots would be taken of me holding the food.
Teamwork:
Teamwork was another aspect vital to my experience at Studio Center; I would actively work with Caroline, Rusty, Haleigh, and a worker who arrived a month before I left (Joseph). Collaboration with them made my life extremely easy, as I could ask any question and clearly understand the required task. I also helped the video production department, where I helped with lighting and production on an advertisement that was being filmed, and a picture shoot setup where I was the lab rat, to see if the shot looked good. Below is a picture of me from that day:
